I love this picture and this period of the Marychain, Bobby the Domehead the stand up drummer, the look the band had, sunglasses after dark, part Neubauten/part Velvets, a fragile gang in silohuette- the band look like they sound, Spectoresque, feedback slashes, black and white, monochrome, polarising… the Scottish Ramones, East Kilbride’s boy Ronettes… I dug the Marychain for only so long but everything about this moment rings and clamours back and forth thru’ time, everything about the Marychain then recalibrated my brain and never fell back into place
And the world is turning ‘round
And on… and on… and on
